The InstantVap Turbo is built for speed. Running at 260°C with 400W of output, it tears through apiaries with virtually no wait time between hives, load the next dose and it's already ready.

The Turbo draws 22A and requires a minimum 4Ah battery to operate. Smaller batteries will not deliver sufficient current and may trigger protection shutdown. Check your battery capacity before you buy.

Before Treatment

Seal all hive entrances completely before powering on
Ensure bystanders, children, and animals are well clear of the treatment area

Do not remove PPE until the unit has cooled and the area has cleared of vapour
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during or immediately after use

Important: before starting ensure that appropriate PPE is worn.

Using the ejector dispenser, turn and spin the top dial until the ejector stop plate moves to either the 1,2 3 or 4 gram mark. Heat up the InstantVap Turbo by connecting the battery (LED will be slow blinking) until it reaches full temperature being between 230 and 260C where the LED light will then stay on permanently (solid on, with no blinking).

Insert the InstantVap into your hive at either the entrance or a small hole created at the back of the hive.

Now insert the ejector/dispenser into the vertical holding chamber and secure firmly. Finally press the top disc plate of the dispenser downwards resulting in releasing the Oxalic Acid and changing the LED to flash fast. Allow the vapour to fill the hive for the recommended duration before removing. Once the vaporisation time is complete, the LED will slowly flash again bringing the temperature in the device back up to its peak.

Always seal the hive entrance during treatment. Full step-by-step instructions are included with every unit.

Battery & Power

The InstantVap Turbo is compatible with a wide range of 18V and 20V power tool batteries across major brands. A full compatibility list is available on the product page to help you check whether your existing batteries will work before purchasing.

Batteries are not included, as most beekeepers already own compatible power tool batteries from brands they use around the property. This keeps the purchase price down and avoids duplication. If you don't already own a compatible battery, we can advise on suitable options.

This depends on the battery capacity (Ah rating) and ambient temperature. A fully charged 4–5Ah battery typically delivers treatments for 20–30+ hives. Higher-capacity batteries will extend your run time further.

Complete the InstantVap maintenance/warranty form included in the InstantVap Turbo documentation and follow the instructions for return and assessment.

Yes - Due to our confidence of our InstantVap products, these are covered by a manufacturer-level two (2) year warranty/5,000 vaps. Which ever comes first.
For warranty service or maintenance, you can use the official InstantVap Maintenance Centre process provided with your product documentation.

Servicing, repairs, and official maintenance can be handled through our authorised Australian maintenance centre to ensure quality and genuine parts.

THE ESSENTIALS: YOUR PERSONAL PROTECTION (PPE)

Stay Safe While You Vaporise

Oxalic acid vaporisation is one of the most effective ways to control varroa, but the vapour irritates your lungs, eyes and skin. The right gear takes only a minute to put on and protects you every time you treat. This applies to the InstantVap Lite, Compact and Turbo.

Your Safety Kit

Respirator (the most important item). Wear a well-fitted respirator with cartridges rated for acid fumes. We recommend the 3M Respirator 7500 Series Mask, available in Medium (7502) and Large (7503). A dust mask or surgical mask won't protect you.
Cartridges. The 7500 mask comes without cartridges, so add the 3M Cartridge for Respirator Masks – 60923 Model. It's designed to filter oxalic and formic acid fumes.
Eye protection. The 7500 is a half-face mask, so it doesn't cover your eyes. Wear our Protective Glasses every time you treat.
Gloves. Disposable Safety Nitrile Gloves (100 pack) protect your hands from oxalic acid crystals. The vaporiser gets hot (230–260°C), so let it cool before you handle the pan.
Covered skin. Long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes. Your bee suit works well for this.

Keep Your Gear Working

Check your mask's seal before every session. It should pull in snugly when you breathe in.
Replace the cartridges when you can smell or taste anything, or as 3M recommends.
Store your mask and cartridges in a sealed bag between uses so they last longer.

Quick Reminders

Stand upwind, keep kids, pets and onlookers well away, and keep your PPE on until the vapour has fully cleared. Then wash your hands.
